Cheshire and Warrington Local Nature Recovery Strategy Published

The Cheshire and Warrington Local Nature Recovery Strategy has officially been published.

This LNRS has been led by Cheshire West and Chester Council, supported by Cheshire East Council, Warrington Borough Council, Peak District National Park Authority, Natural England alongside the Environment Agency and Forestry Commission.

The Cheshire and Warrington LNRS consist of two parts – a Statement of Biodiversity Priorities and a Local Habitat and Opportunity Map – setting out priorities for restoring biodiversity across the county.

Following a public consultation in February – March 2025, the strategy was officially published in November 2025.
